Even if causation was strictly a property of events, there could be no proof of a first cause because there is no such thing as empirical proof.

While looking at the traffic ahead of us on my phone, it occurred to me that when people say "predicting the future" (as in clairvoyance) they really mean "remembering the future". I shared this thought with my traveling companions and they exchanged confused looks. I explained but little progress was made. after a moment my mom chuckled and said, "I'll never forget the time you and Nicole (my cousin) were sitting in the back seat at ages 5 and 6 discussing whether god is a man or a woman".
